Actor. Born a Native American Cheyenne Indian in Cheyenne, Wyoming, he first began acting in high school drama class. In 1938, he moved to New York City at age 18 and continued to perform in touring shows for the W.P.A. Theater. After serving in the US Army Air Corps during World War II, he moved to Chicago, Illinois and performed on radio soap operas. Relocating to Houston, Texas, he established himself as distinctive character actor, performing in the Houston stage scene and on the state's community theaters. For movies, he was most noted for his role as Drayton Sawyer in the classic horror films, "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (1974) and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Part 2" (1986). His other films include "The Windsplitter" (1971), "Hotwire" (1980), as well as in the TV movie "Red Alert" (1977) and also appeared on the TV series "Amazing Stories". He died at age 83 from emphysema complications in Houston, Texas.
