Funeral services for Bolling Virgil Walker, 85, of 730 Madison Ave., wil be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Broussard's chapel with the Rev. Henry Cohagan, pastor of the Washington boulevard Christian Church, officiating. Mr. Walker, a resident of Beaumont for 42 years, died at 7:15 p.m. Monday at his home after an illness of several months. The Rev. Mr. Cohagan will be assisted by the Rev. P.F. Herndon, former pastor of the Washington Boulevard church. Burial will be in Magnolia cemetery and those who wish to do so may donate to the Beaumont Remedial Center in lieu of sending flowers. A native of Salado, Tex., Mr. Walker was a member of the Washington Boulevard Christian Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Maude Walker; three sons, Dr. Taylor Walker and Paul Walker, both of Beaumont, and the Rev. Granville Walker of the University Christian Church in Fort Worth; a daughter, Mrs. L.L. Stewart of Corpus Christi; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
