James B. South Passes Away At Age Of 81

James Blythe South, 81, retired warehouseman and resident of Red Bluff for 58 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Rolin Eslinger on Lincoln street yesterday afternoon. He was born at Blythe, near Stockton, December 7, 1856.
He was the father of Mrs. Rolin Eslinger, Mrs. Harold Klausen and Mrs. Mildred McElroy of Red Bluff, and George Weaver, Oakland, and the stepfather of Mrs. Clara Osborn and Mrs. Dorothy Foreman, Oroville, and Grover Randolph, Hazel Creek, Shasta County.
He was the brother of Mrs. Laura Henry of Eureka. There are 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Desrosier Funeral Home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. F. R. Johnston officiating. Interment will be made in Oak Hill cemetery. – Transcribed by E.
