Evangelist Angel LaMunt Smith was born February 5, 1938 to Vieta Hutcherson and James Wilson. The first of seven children, four brothers and three sisters. She was instrumental in the raising of her younger siblings. Angel was Anointed with the Precious Gift of the Holy Spirit on July 10th, 1960. Praise God for his Amazing Grace. On August 18th, 1971 she was given the gift of her precious Husband, Mr. Robert Everett Smith. To this union three daughters, one son, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren completed this combined family. She always thanked God for her husband and combined family. She was blessed with the gift of song as music was one of her greatest joys but her relationship with God was her greatest Joy. Her listening taste was eclectic as she enjoyed every Genre from Gospel to Soul, Jazz and Classical. She also encouraged her children to embrace the arts at young ages as well as teaching them about the love of Christ. This was most important for her. Angel was a Philanthropist with a huge heart. She supported several Charities both local and abroad and was very passionate about helping others in need. She was a quick and aggressive thinker that always gave 110% to everything she set aim for. Nothing was too good or unreachable. A trendsetter in her own right with an impeccable sense of style. She had keen eye for all things beautiful and made a breath taking statement wherever she went. She was dedicated to supporting her children and grandchildren in their endeavors. Preceding her in death were both her parents, three brothers and three nephews. Left to cherish her memory: her husband, Robert Everett Smith; daughters, Vieta Vantriece Anderson, Robin Leanora Robinson, Lisa Marie Fogleman; son, Antwon Mario Anderson; grandchildren, Kia Aris Swan Wilbourn (Fred Wilbourn), Shana Marie Anderson; great-grandchildren, Keon Kyra, Mathew and Zachery; sisters, Barbara Powell (William Powell), Rose Mary Norfleet; brother, James Anderson, Jr.; special friends, Charlie Jordan, Dr. Rick Hummel; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
