William H. Burkhart, 58, of Lower Salem Rt. 1, died Saturday at 3:30 a.m. in Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 23, 1897, in Elk Twp., Noble County, he was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Holiday Burkhart. He was married June 21, 1924 to the former Ruth Weckbacher, who survives at the family home.
ALso surviving are two sons, Raymond of Worthington and William Jr. of the family home; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Wurtzbacher of Marietta, and Miss Shirley Burkhart of the family home; two brothers, Lewis and Preston of Marietta; five sisters, Mrs. Fred Hockenberry of Marietta, Mrs. Forrest Martin of Marr, and Mrs. Clyde Fleeman, Mrs. Von Kehl and Mrs. Verna Klemm of Lower Salem Rt. 1; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church near Harrietsville, of which he was a member. The Rev. Russell Behm will officate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body will be received at the family home Saturday night from the Mallett Funeral Home at Stafford.
