He was the husband of Florine (Gerber) Wilkins. Born in Wilton, Maine, Aug. 5, 1930, he had been a resident of Manchester for the last 19 years and prior to that of Coventry.
He was employed by Holmes Transportation Co. of Newington. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army, and was a member of the American Legion and the Army and Navy, Club of Manchester, and a member of the Elks Club of Rockville.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons; and a sister, Robin Wilkins, all at home in Manchester; four sisters, Dorothy Woodward in Florida, Margaret Bacon in Texas, Pauline Mendelson of North Haven, and Etta Mae Kowalczyk in California, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester. Burial will be in Ellington Center Cemetery, Ellington. Calling hours are today, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
