Wilton Adrian Liddell, 82, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on March 26, 2002 in Tooele, Utah after a long battle with a debilitating illness. He was born December 4, 1919 in Stockton, Utah to Laurence Thompson and Blanche Benson Liddell. He was educated in Tooele schools and graduated from Tooele High School in 1938. He married Sarah Maylin March 16, 1940 in Salt Lake City. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They were the parents of four children: Betty Jo (Floyd) Young, Sandy, UT; John Adrian (Gene) Liddell, Lacey, Washington; Dr. Thomas Ray (Valorie) Liddell, Sandy, UT; Caryn Jeannette (Richard) Davis, West Valley City, Utah. They were later divorced. He married Marrien Urwin Oct. 26, 1960, in Elko, Nevada and they were parents of Deborah Lynn Lomax, Kearns, Utah and Douglas Wilton (Julie) Liddell, Taylorsville, Utah.

Survivors, besides his wife and children, include brothers, Sidney A. (Fern) Liddell, Ogden, UT; Joseph T. (Dorothy) Liddell; and a sister, Velma (Dale) Droubay, Clearfield, UT; 22 grandchildren and 28 great-grand-children.

Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Byron LaVar; a sister, May Cooley, and a stillborn sister. There will be a viewing at Tate Mortuary 110 So Main St. Tooele, on Friday March 29, 2002 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 30, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. in the Tooele 14th Ward Chapel, 192 West 2nd South, with another viewing at the church one hour prior to the funeral services. Interment Tooele City Cemetery.
