Mollie was born to Nimrod and Mary E. in Houston county, Texas.
She was adopted by Joseph F Dubose and Sarah Amelia "Millie" Wood Dubose before 1900 and can be found with them in Precinct 5, San Augustine county for that year. I can find no records for a legal adoption. These are the only people my dad knew as grand parents.
There is a marriage record for Emma Markham and J L Lakey on 05 Oct 1904 in Angelina county. Texas, Marriages, 1837-1973.

They had 6 children. When Mollie was pregnant with the youngest twins, Oscar Sr. caught the flu and died before they were born. Some say he was found on the roof during a rainstorm, playing his guitar. He had a fever.
Mollie's brothers and sisters were
James W. Markham
Carrie L Markham Hargrove
John T. Markham
Obie Marcum
Mattie Cordella Markham
Lee Roy Markham
Her grandfather was James C. Marcom (b.1807 in Tennessee or Virginia, d.after 1880, San Augustine, TX) and was the oldest brother of Thomas Markham, Nimrod Markham, John Bunyon Markham Jr, Carroll Markham and Francis Marion Markham.
