Mother is Prudence Hall Stevenson (died in North Carolina shortly after Mary's birth), whose burial site I have not yet been able to find. Raised by two step-mothers, Margaret and then Caroline. Moved to Illinois in the 1850s. Married John Jacob Barrow on Feb. 19, 1863 in Macoupin County, Illinois. Had 8 daughters and 4 sons, but only 1 of the sons survived to adulthood. Her first child, Carrie Margaret (buried in Macoupin County), was probably named for Mary's 2 step-mothers. From at least 1870 until Mary's death, Mary lived in Christian County, Illinois.
