Deacon Thomas Richardson was a son of David Richardson Jr and his second wife Hannah Mills. He was born 27 April 1781 in Standish.

He married first Mary Ayer of Buxton, Maine, on 2 March 1805. Together they had seven (7) children before she died, likely due to child birth, in November 1818.

He next married Mary Dearborn about 1819. Together they had 4 known children.

He was listed in the 1850 and 1860 census in Monmouth, Kennebec county, Maine.

Deacon Thomas Richardson died on 27 August 1865 in his 85th year and is buried in the Monmouth Center Cemetery at Monmouth, Kennebec, Maine.

Some researchers have confused him with the Thomas Richardson, son of John Richardson and Bethiah, who was born in Lyndeborough, New Hampshire, in 1790 and lived in Gardiner, Maine.
