Oran was the son of John Edward & Mary Crawford of Anderson County, Texas. He married Martha Ellen Hoke.
They were the parents of Billie Loraine and Jerry Jerome Crawford.

Westlake — Funeral services for Oran J. "Pappy" Crawford, 91, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, in Hixson Funeral Home. Deacon Carroll Parham will officiate. Burial will be in Westlake Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Crawford died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, in a Sulphur care center.
He moved from Arcadia, Fla., to Westlake in 1952. He was a retired Conoco employee. He was a member of Bellview Baptist Church, and he was a deacon for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Crawford of Westlake; one daughter, Mrs. Hubert (Billie) Woods of Westlake; one sister, Dorothy Murdock of Palestine, Texas; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
