Ray enjoyed working for his longtime friend Jay Lee, for many years.
He was a star football player in Harper, Texas during his high school years;he was known to everyone as 'Slim'.
Ray also served his country in the United States Army for two years.
He loved to hunt and fish and he never met a stranger.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents,Sophia and Tom Carter,and his brothers Orville,Aubrey Daniel and Lloyd Carter.
He is survived by his brother Doug Carter,of Harper,TX
by his two children Jamie Carter and Holly Carter Black,
5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews, and a very close friend, Judy Porter
