(WADLEY) Services for Woodrow W. Belcher, 87, of Wadley were Thursday, May 17,
2001, at 1 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel, with the Revs. Jimmy Wright and Clifford
Delee officiating. Burial was at Wadley Cemetery.
Mr. Belcher died May 16 at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ga.
He was born in Chambers County on April 23, 1914, son of Leonard and Bessie Foster
Belcher. He was employed in timber products and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Leila East Belcher of Wadley; three daughters, Joyce Wright
of Hartselle and Hilda Champeau and Marie Little of Newnan, Ga.; a son, Jesse Belcher of
McDonough, Ga.; two step-daughters, Elizabeth Karr of Abanda and Estelle Sanden of
LaFayette; a stepson, William Robert Windson of Abanda; a sister, Pauline Lindsey of
LaFayette; a brother, Bill Belcher of LaFayette; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren,
two great-great-grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
Arrangements were by Quattlebaum Funeral Home, Roanoke.
