HEART ATTACK CLAIMS
GILBERT D. SMITH
Services for Gilbert Dean Smith 62, of rural Carlisle, who died of a heart attack Friday at his home, were held Tuesday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial in the Altoona cemetery.
Mr. Smith, a farmer, was born in Rising City, Nebr., and lived in rural Altoona before moving to Carlisle area 12 years ago. He was a member of the Altoona Methodist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Edna; two daughters, Mrs. Floyd Jennings
of Mitchellville, and Deana Smith of Des Moines; a son, Richard of
Altoona; three half-sisters. Mrs. Ruth Clayton of Hordville, Nebr., Mrs. Helen Murray of Grand Island, Nebr., and Mrs. Phyllis Timmons of Sutherlin, Ore.; two half-brothers, Clifford Prell and William Prell, both of Lincoln,Nebr., and six grandchildren.
