Gladys Harding, 100, Altoona
Gladys Harding, 100, of Altoona, died of a heart ailment Nov. 13, 1997 at Mitchell Village Care Center in Mitchellville. Services were held Nov. 17 at Altoona Christian Church, where she was a member, with burial in Altoona Cemetery.

Mrs. Harding was born in Dawson, N.D., and had lived in Altoona most of her life. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include six sons, Gene of Des Moines, Jerry and Fuzz, both of Altoona, Pat of Iowa City, Dale of Roundup, Mont., and Edgar of Missouri; a stepson, Charles of Whitefish, Mont.; two daughters, Mary Jane Peterson of Des Moines and Ruth Cassel of Waimea Kauai, Hawaii; a sister, Evelyn Shockley of Lake Williams, Minn.; 32 grandchildren; 38 greatgrandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
