Joshua Meyer came to Camarillo, California in 1954, after living all over the United states with his first wife. For 31 years, Meyer had a mixed practice of treating both large and small animals. He worked for the government testing cattle for TB until he joined the Army in 1941. He became a major in the quartermaster corps. He retired in 1985
