United States Army Specialist 5 served with the 11th Armored Cavalry. He was the crew chief of an UH-1C Huey helicopter that was shot down and crashed in Long Khanh, South Vietnam. Also killed were aircraft commander, WO1 Jerry L Harris, pilot WO1 William P Rollins and gunner SP4 John J Matuska were also killed.
