FREDERICKSBURG, Tex, Jan 1 - Albert J. Schmidt, 62, a respected merchant of Fredericksburg, and for 12 years treasurer of Gillespie County, died Tuesday after a lingering illness at his home here and was buried Wednesday in the city cemetery. Rev K. Konzas of the Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. The choir of the church sang several beautiful songs. Deceased was a native of Gillespie County. His wife, who was Miss Emma Leyendecker, survives him. He is also survived by four daughters, Misses Stella, Helen. Minnie and Alma; one son, Hilmer, in Salt Lake City and four grandchildren and several brothers and sisters.
