Crystal M. Howard, 89, of Nampa, passed away on July 4, 2008 at a Nampa hospital. Crystal was born on October 20, 1918, in Bison, South Dakota, to Harvey and Ada Cain.
At age two she moved with her family to Grant City, Missouri. At age five the family moved to Simla, Colorado. At age nine, the family moved to Nampa where she graduated from Nampa High School in 1936. On March 27, 1937, she married Vaughn Howard of Nampa. Following their marriage, they moved to Bowmont. They moved to Wichita, Kansas, during WWII and lived there for five years. In 1945 they moved back to Nampa. She worked a short time, but devoted her time to her husband and raising her children. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and one sister. Survivors include three daughters: Donna (Jim) Cate of Nampa, Dolores (Harold) Peirsol of Idaho Falls, Debbie (Doug) Lampman of Nampa and one son Ken (Bea) Howard of Eagle; 19 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren and one brother, Claude Cain, of Idaho Falls.

A viewing for family and friends will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2008, at Alsip Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at the First Christian Church-Disciples of Christ, 629 12th Ave. S. Nampa, ID 83651. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, Idaho.
Mom we will miss you and will keep your spirit alive in our hearts. We will always cherish the wonderful memories of our years together.
