Obituary:
Mrs. Katherine Elizabeth Seavers, wife of J.E. Seavers of near Kirkwood died Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock, after a short illness with pneumonia. Katherine Elizabeth Seavers was born in Ireland, March 21st 1856, and came to America in 1873, settling in Stockton. She was married in that city to J.E. Seavers in 1878 and they moved to Kirkwood 1888. She was the mother of eight children, one of whom has passed away. Seven, besides her husband, survive: three sons and four daughters, Herbert and Albert of Kirkwood and Emmit of Suisun, and four daughters, Carrie, Geneva, Annie and Alice.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock at the Catholic Church of this city, Reverend P.F. Brady officiating, and the remains laid to rest in Sunset Hill. The bereaved family have the warmest sympathy of numberless friends throughout this section of the county, where this splendid woman as well known and loved.
