PULASKI, PA. – Charles V. Hake, 65, of 285 state Route 208, passed away the morning of Nov. 25, 2011, at Jameson Hospital.
He was born July 19, 1946, in New Castle, Pa. and was the son of the late Alvie E. Sr. and Virginia Smith Hake.
He married the former Rose Weaver on June 29, 1966, and she survives.
Mr. Hake retired from General Motors in 1999 after 33 years of service, where he worked as a Weld Inspector and he also worked for 16 years as an ice man for the Amish.
Charles was a member of the Washington Union Alliance Church and a trustee at the church. He was a former Pulaski Volunteer Fireman and a boy scout assistant for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Larry Hake and wife Stefani of New Castle and Jamie Hake and wife Kimberly of St. Marys, Pa.; his stepmother, Diane Hake of New Castle; two brothers, George Hake of Ohio and Eugene Hake of Bessemer, Pa.; five sisters, Amy Hake, Shirley Annarumo, Darlene Johnston, Ginger Grannis and Robin Tomei, all of New Castle; and three grandchildren, Josh, Paige and Logan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Alvie Hake Jr., Terry Hake Sr., Ronald Hake and John Hake Sr.; and three sisters, Margie Gale Patty Uber and an infant sister.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 3000 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
A service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Richard Noble of Washington Union Alliance Church will conduct the service.
Interment will be at Savannah Cemetery, New Castle.
