ROGER A. REID, passed away Friday, November 18, 2011 in Riverside, California at the age of 65 years. A California native, he was born in San Francisco, Sunday, September 15, 1946, the son of Alton and Stella (Hauck) Reid. Roger served our country with pride and honor in the United States Air Force, during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge from the service he worked as a maintenance splicer in the communications industry for 24 years. Roger enjoyed things both artistic and collectable, ceramics, woodworking, stained glass, trains & model trains, photography and painting. Beloved husband of Lizabeth Reid. Loving father of Erin A. Meissner Carrie M. Cole and step-father of Bryan M. Gobbins and Laura M. Fitzharris. Dear brother of David Reid and Caroline Powser. Devoted grandfather of 5 precious grandchildren with one due. The family will greet friends at the funeral home for visitation, Monday, November 28, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Pastor Kerry Decker will officiate at the funeral services, Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in Pathway Christian Church, 6755 Victoria Ave., Riverside, CA. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Riverside National Cemetery.
