Hugh Carl Sudro, 93, formerly of Avon Lake, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in Dallas, Texas. He was born September 29, 1918 in Clarksville, Ohio.

Hugh served in the U.S. Navy, Seaman First Class, 1944-1945. He was employed at the Bendix Company for 34 years as an assembler.

He was a member of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ, VFW Post #1079, American Legion Post #12, and the Polish Club.

Hugh is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, William and Carol Sudro; granddaughter, Colleen Berg and great granddaughter, Rianna Berg from Texas; step daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Jim Blystone; and granddaughter, Jennifer from Ohio; step daughter, Ellen Howington; granddaughter, Shelia; grandson, Joey; step sons, Rick Esler (Ann) and son, Michael, Jim Paine (Paulette), Randy Paine (Sara); step daughters, Sharon Russell (Gary), Shirley Kinny (George); and numerous Paine grandchildren, all from Ohio.

Hugh was preceded in death by his parents, William and Fern Sudro; son, Thomas; his first wife, Deanna; brother, Donald Castle; sister, Eilene Ellsworth; step daughter, Marilyn Seabold; and his second wife, Marjorie (Marge) Paine Sudro.

Friends and family are invited to call from 6 to 8 P.M., Monday, November 21, 2011 at Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second St., Elyria, to celebrate Hugh's life and to share stories in the spirited fashion he would have enjoyed immensely.
