Evelyn Miller, 101, of Elyria, died Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at Center Ridge Health Campus in North Ridgeville. She was born December 10, 1909, in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, and moved to Elyria in 1954.
Evelyn was a charter member of Community United Methodist Church and was also active with the church quilting circle. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and baking.
Evelyn is survived by a sister, June D. Miller of Elyria; grandchildren, Susan F. (Hershel) Short of Elyria, Jane A. Miller of Westlake and Paul T. (Lisa) Miller of Amherst; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Miller in 1968; and sisters, LaVera Miller and Martha Griffith.
Friends will be received Saturday, November 26, 2011, from 10 A.M., until the time of an 11 A.M. service at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Reverend Donald W. Lare will officiate, with burial in Brookdale Cemetery.
