Roger Miles Clark, Sr., 70, of Pulaski, died November 24, 2011. He was born in Pulaski County on February 23, 1941 and was the son of the late Mr. Dock W. & Mrs. Clyde Eller Clark, of Pulaski. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Richard King of Dublin, VA. Mr. Clark was a member and elder of Anderson Memorial Presbyterian Church in Pulaski, Va. He was past scout master of Boy Scout troop 243 in Pulaski, earning the Boy Scouts Silver Beaver Award in 1982. Mr. Clark was an avid outdoorsman, who greatly enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. Mr. Clark was a retired employee of Volvo with 30 years of service and a strong supporter of UAW #2069 in Dublin. Surviving are loving and dedicated wife of 49 years, Mrs. Peggy Bond Clark; son, Roger Miles (R.M.) Clark, Jr. of Pulaski; daughter & son-in-law, Mrs. Norma C. & Alan Anderson; two grandchildren that were his pride and joy, the apples of his eyes, Bethany and Thomas Anderson of Dublin; sisters & brothers-in-law, Mrs. Carol Ann King of Dublin, Mrs. Barbara & Munsey Swecker of Pulaski, Mrs. Dorothy & Sheffey Waller of Pulaski, Mr. Fred Bond of Sylvatus; and numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews; and special family friend, Mrs. Marie Babb of Pulaski. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. T. Michael Bond officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. Visiting will be Sunday from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made to the "Backpack Program", c/o Pulaski County Public Schools Education Foundation, 202 N. Washington Ave., Pulaski, VA. 24301 or to the Pulaski Daily Bread, c/o First Presbyterian Church, PO Box 824, Pulaski, VA 24301, or to the charity of ones choice.
