KERR - Fell asleep, at the residence of her son, Wm. H. Kerr, near Nokomis, Montgomery county, Illinois, July 30th 1878, Mrs. N. D. Kerr, in the 74th year of her age.

She was born in Monroe county, Kentucky, August 6, 1804; was married to A. Kerr January 8, 1826; made the good confession in 1842, and has since lived a consistent and devoted Christian.

Through all her sufferings (which were intense) she did not murmur, but prayed oft and earnestly for a speedy and peaceful exit from the flesh and its sufferings, which was abundantly administered to her in the end.

She loved the Monitor to the last, and was not only a subscriber herself, but sent copies to her children. And now, "God helping us" that are left, we will meet father and mother on the evergreen shore.
(See note from picture of obit per NancyPf).
