Carl Dressier. 74, a retired baker, died Monday morning at 10 o'clock at his home, 504 Owen Street. Born in Strassburg, Germany, March 21, 1856,

Mr. Dressier was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dressier, sr. He married Mary Ochs in Germany in 1880 and they came to America the following year. Mr. Dressier started work with Ruger's- bakery, where he was foreman for many years, until about 1900, when he started his own bakery at Fifth and Owen streets, which he continued to operate until about 15 years ago. His wife died March 3, 1929.

Surviving are six sons and six daughters: Charles, William, Albert and Edward, all of. Lafayette; Henry of San Antonio, Tex., and George, of Marion, Ind.; Misses Louise and Edna Dressier, at home; Mrs. Ida Barnett of Lafayette; Mrs. Minnie Atwell and Miss Carrie Dressier, of Chicago, and Mrs. Kathryn Rehwinkel, of Genieve, Ind. Mr. Dressier was a member of St. John's Evangelical church.

The body was removed to the Soller funeral home.
