Emma Jane Chapel Auler Skinner, 85, Marion, died at 1216 p.m., Wed., Nov. 23. 2011 in Oklahoma on her trip to Texas for the winter months. She was born in Grant County, Indiana to the late Chauncie and Arstella (Ford) Chapel. She married Clarence C. Auler in 1945, She later married Hubert Skinner, who preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 1993.
Emma was a homemaker. She was a member of Sunneycrest Baptist Church, the Middletown Order of Eastern Star a 25 year member and a 38 year member of the Middletown American Legion Women's Auxiliary where she served as past president.
Survivors include her children, Walter Eugene (Regina) Auler, Clarence William Auler, Marsha Jean (Gary) Markham, Judy Darlene (Jack) Clymer, Steven Joe (Vickie) Auler, and James Lee (Pam) Auler. Step children, Alvin, Lottie, and Larry Skinner. Many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence C Auler; son Harry Eldon Auler; step son Melvin Skinner; brothers
Herman, Glenn, and Walter Chapel sisters Arvilla Paige, Lucy Thompson, and Norma Jean McMillen.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, Novemeber 28, 2011 in Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service Storey Chapel , Gas City In. with the Rev. Terry Samples officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Alexandria, In.
