Survivors are: wife, Charlotte of Lincoln; son, John Baldwin II of Greeley; daughters and three sons-in-law, Sue and Bryan Palmer of Savannah, Mo., Sharyl Baldwin of Omaha, Sheila and Brenden Scherbarth of Hastings, Shelli Baldwin of Lincoln, Starla and J.T. Indermuhle of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Sindy Baldwin of Lincoln; a sister, Helen Atwater of Greeley; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Ed was raised in Greeley, NE. and graduated from Greeley (NE.) High School in 1954. Ed served in the United States Army from 1960-1963 and was stationed in Germany. After his discharge, he returned to Greeley, NE. where he worked at Frank Atwater Oil Company. In 1977, he purchased the service stationed. He owned and operated Ed's Champlin Service until 1987. Since 1987, he has worked for the Village of Greeley, NE. He also drove the school bus for the Greeley (NE.) Schools. On Aug. 13, 1964, Ed was united to marriage to Charlotte Pfeifer at Spalding, NE.
His hobbies included crossword puzzles, reading, visiting, playing cards and chess and being with his family. He will be remembered by his intellectual wit and subtle sarcasm.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Georgia Mae Stoffel, and brothers, Gene, Donald and Marion Baldwin.
Inurnment was in the Greeley Cemetery, Greeley, NE. with military honors presented by the Charles E. Martin American Legion Post 186 of Greeley, NE.
