AUGUSTA - Sandra Jean Tracy, 65, of Augusta died Monday, November 23, 2011 at her home.
Sandy was born February 2, 1946 to James and Anne (Miland) Gilbert in Eau Claire. She graduated from Osseo High School in 1964. She worked as a licensed practical nurse for several years before returning to District One Technical School where she received her associate degree in nursing. She was employed at Osseo Area Hospital & Nursing Home and Strum Nursing Home. She retired in 2003. As a L.P.N. and a nurse she worked in the healthcare field for over 38 years.
Sandy married Clark Christopherson in 1965. She later married Willis Drangstveit in 1976 at Winona, MN. Following Willis' death she married Lester Tracy on October 10, 1998 in Eau Claire.
Sandy loved to spend time with her grandchildren, collecting dolls, making crafts and reading.
Sandy is survived by her husband Lester; two sons Travis (Kristen) Christopherson of Eau Claire and Jason (Shelley) Christopherson of Osseo; four grandchildren Ethan, Macie, Andrew and Camryn. She is also survived by her step-children, Sandra (Robert) Steven of Westminster, Co, David (Paula) Tracy of Eau Claire, Rebekah Rud of Oklahoma, Scott (Dana) Tracy of Augusta, GA, Larry (Ellen) Drangstveit of Eleva, Judy (Mike) Hammerstad of Apple Valley, MN, Vicki (Jim) Shermo of Strum and Debbie (Russ) Carlisle of Eleva. She is further survived by several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Anne, a son Scott, husband Willis and her stepmother Eva Gilbert.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Osseo Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Lewis Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Eleva Cemetery.
