MERLE "PETE" R SCHUSTER: 77; of Elyria died Monday [12-25] at RMH Regional Medical Cntr after suffering an apparent heart attack. Born in Belden, he graduated from Belden High & lived in this area most of his life. A mechanic, he worked for Mader Dempers-Elyria, for 8yrs & previously was employed at the former Earl J Lance Buick agency & various General Motors auto dealerships. During WW-II he served with the Army. He was a member of the VFW Post 1079 of Elyria. He enjoyed golfing, fishing & bowling.
Survivors include his son Randy of Grafton; 2 grandchildren & brother Clyde of Elyria. He was preceded in death by his wife Clara; dau: Linda Shuster; sons: Russell & Jeffrey & bro: Lester.
Friends may call Thursday at Curtis Scheuffler Busch Family Chapel-Elyria where services will be held Friday morning [12-29]. Rev Philip D Jamieson will officiate. Burial will be in Butter-nut Ridge Cem-Eaton Twp. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society-Elyria.
