Mrs. A. Brandler died Sunday afternoon at 3:50 o'clock at the home of her son-in-law, J.O. Gahart, and family in the Turner community. She had been in feeble health for many months and while her death was not unexpected, it was nevertheless a great shock to relatives and friends, and especially to her aged life companion. Funeral services were conducted at White Rose cemetery Monday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock by Rev. J J". Grizzle after which the remains were tenderly laid to rest in the family burial ground. Mrs. Brandler, nee Miss Williamina Christine Mallat, was born in Poland in the year 1844. She moved with her parents to Blue River, Wis., in 1861, where she was married to Anton Brandler June 29,1862. She with her husband and children moved to Van Zandt County, Texas, in November 1882, and they have since that time resided near Wills Point." ...from a lengthy obituary published in the Wills Point Chronicle, February 25, 1915
