Etta "Ettie" Bea (Dixon) Caudill was the daughter of James Caudill and Eva (Back) Dixon. She married William McKinley Caudill on December 24, 1921, in Whitesburg, Letcher County, KY. They had five children: Virgil Glenn Caudill, Mabel Ruth (Caudill) Frazier, Lillian Doris (Caudill) Morris George, Harold Keith Caudill and Helen Madge Caudill. Etta died of Pulmonary Tuberculosis two days shy of her 39th birthday.

Mrs. Ettie B. Caudill Dies At Uz, Tuesday

Mrs. Ettie B. Caudill, age 39, died at her home at Uz after along illness Thursday, September 8th. Mrs. Caudill was a life-long resident of Letcher county and was the daughter of James C. and Eva Dixon of Uz. About sixteen years ago she was united in marriage to William Caudill, who with the following children survive her, Virgil, Ruth, Lillian and Harold.

Mrs. Caudill was formerly a teacher in schools of Letcher County and was a member of the Regular Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at the home at Uz by Elder Felix Fields, Friday, September 9 at 10 o'clock, with interment in the family cemetery near the home.
