Lifelong Resident of This Community Dies at South Lyon
Irvin Melvin Mizer, son of George and Vrania Mizer, was born in Bryan, Williams County, Ohio, October 4th, 1857, and passed away February 18th, 1945, at the home of this daughter, Mrs. St. Clair Hamlin, of South Lyon, Michigan.
He came from Ohio with his father and mother in 1876, lived on his farm here continually until four years ago, and then moved to South Lyon to make his home with his daughter on account of illness.
He was united in marriage, April 4, 1880, to Harriett Josephine Tatman, whose companionship he enjoyed for sixty-two years.
He leaves to mourn their loss, one daughter, Mrs. St. Clair Hamlin, of South Lyon; two sons, James, of Pontiac, and Earl, of Virginia, Minnesota; ten grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
