Dopsy Katherine Wheeler Roberts, 97, of Kountze, died Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at Kountze Nursing Center. She was born on October 2, 1917, in Lumberton, to Dora J. Bozeman Wheeler and Ambeizar M. Wheeler. She lived all of her life in Hardin County and retired from Hardin County Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Kountze for many years.

Dopsy was married to Quentin “Kit” Roberts for sixty-six years until his death in 2005. Also preceding her in death were her parents; her sisters, Dorothy Wheeler and Sarah Pattillo; and her brothers Peat, Amos “Jack” and James “Jim” Wheeler.

Survivors include her son George A Roberts and his wife, Brenda, of Damon; granddaughter, Amy Roberts Georgas and her husband, William, of Slidell, Louisiana; great- grandsons, Taylor and Garrett Georgas; nieces and nephews, Lynn Ray and Ivy Pattillo, Linda Kay Woeller, Robert and Sue Cleveland, Jackie and Jimmy Anders, Kitty and Gerry Drake; and very special friend/first cousin Ellen Bozeman Jordan.
