Sheila Marie Miner Miller, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandma, aunt, neighbor, and friend to all passed away on November 22, 2011.
Sheila was born June 15, 1938, to Olen and Marie Miner in Fairview, Utah. She loved her hometown and always spoke happily of her childhood days there. She graduated from North Sanpete High in 1956.
She attended BYU for two years and met her husband, Delray, at her Aunt Verl's boarding house in Provo. They were married in 1959 in the Manti Temple and spent 52 years together. He lovingly referred to her as "Red." This was her favorite color and also the color of her hair. Sheila adored all of her family-from her kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews-to her brother and sisters-and all of her in-laws. She cherished them all and every minute that she could spend time with them.
Sheila was an active member of the LDS Church. She served in the Primary for many years; was a faithful visiting teacher; and greeter and friend to all who crossed her path. She also served a Church service mission at the LDS Church Office Building searching for lost members for 10 years. Sheila worked at Winder Dairy in customer service for 25 years. She provided countless hours of service in fixing meals for others and was famous for her brownies and divinity. She was very patriotic and loved to fly the flag.
She is survived by her husband, Delray, daughter Melanie (Jeff) Miles, son Brian (Debbie) Miller, and eight grandchildren Mason, Rulen, Allie, Westen, Jordan, Caitlyn, Lydia, Morgan-her stair steps. She is also survived by her brother W. Kent (Nancy) Miner, Monalee (Larry) Seely, and Marelle (Mel) Gardner; five brothers' and sisters'-in-laws and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and two older, infant brothers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Granger South Stake Center located at 4586 W. 3945 S. (enter from 4400 West and go west on Volta Ave. which is 3947 S.), West Valley City, Utah.
