Son of Lee Carl and Nellie Ball Welborn.
LIBERTY - The body of T-5 Lee Hugh Welborn, who died November 24, 1943 as the result of wounds suffered in action while serving his country at Veneto, Italy, will arrive in Liberty Friday at 3:45 p.m.
The body will be laced in the First Baptist Church and funeral services will be held at 5:15 Friday. The officiating minister will be the Rev. W. R. Lambert. Interment will be in the family plot in Westview Cemetery in Liberty.
Pallbearers will be Larry and Dickey White, Frances and Polen Bailey, J. C. Welborn and W. C. Crane Jr. The honorary escort will be composed of members of American Legion Post 87 and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Mr. Welborn was the son of Mrs. Nellie Ball Welborn and the late L. Carl Welborn. In addition to his mother he is survived by one sister, Laura Virginia Welborn.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church and attended Clemson College in 1942 and 1943. He entered the service on February 5, 1943.
