Retha McIntyre Merck

Retha McIntyre Merck, age 74, of Snellville, Ga., formerly of Toccoa, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Merck, and son, Dennis Paul Merck. Survived by sons, Darren Merck and wife, Laverne of Loganville, Ga.; Brian Merck and wife, Tracy of Las Vegas, Nev.; brother, Floyd McIntyre of Cumming, Ga.; sisters, Bonnie Kendrick and Pat Farmer of Toccoa, Ga.; and six grandchildren.
Mrs.Merck was a 1954 graduate of Stephens County High School, and retired from the Gwinnett County School System in food service.
Funeral services will be held today (Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011) at 2 p.m., at Wages & Son Stone Mountain Chapel with the Rev. Tim Griffin and the Rev. Andre Willis officiating. Burial will follow in the Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountain.
