DIETRICH, ANNA M, 1831-1887, 56

Anna's first husband, Johann Nikolaus Brill died on September 5, 1855, with his wife and one child, Ernest, surviving him. From Page 184 of the first record book of the Etna Congregational Church, Heinrich [Diderich], son of Johann Claus [Diderich] and Elisabeth Rock, married Anna Margaretha Sperber, the widow Brill. She was the daughter of Johann Sperber and Christina Hofmahler. She was born in Altensitzenbach, near Nurnberg in Baiern, Germany. The couple wed on October 12, 1856, in the presence of her father. Both were German immigrants, Heinrich from Hitzerode in Curhessen.

Dates of their children found in the Etna Church include:
Heinrich Gustav Adolf - born June 9, 1857
Elisabeth - born September 12, 1858
Ann - born April 7, 1863
Susanna - born January 15, 1865
Ludwig - born October 24, 1867
Emma - born August 24, 1869
Wilhelm - born September 5, 1871
Waldburga Helena - born April 5, 1873

Some of these children were also confirmed in the church, the records giving the parent's names and the children's dates of birth.

One researcher has included a child named Laura, born in 1875, but no entry is in the Etna Church records for a child by that name.
