Arthur or Paw or "Duke" as most people called him. The man I knew was quite and soft spoken. (but really didn't care much for us kids) He did alot of work at his woodshop. He would be out there everday building something or just pidling. (I would say he is exactly like paw paw). Dec 24 1990 was the day paw died. I remember daddy getting the call. He always told me he wished he knew him better. He had a stroke and they took him to the hospital that is where he past away. Paw is buried at Hollybrook Cementary in Lincolnton. Maw always talked about going home after paw died. She would ask "where is paw".
P.S. It has been told that Arthur had a child with Eula's sister Doreen. The child was given up for adoption. No further information has been found at this time.
