Wife of Franklin Weston (1866-1920)

Mrs. Weston Dies in New York Hotel; Was Widow of Franklin Weston, Formerly of Pittsfield:
Mrs. Edith B. Weston, widow of Franklin Weston, former resident of Pittsfield, died this morning at the Blackstone Hotel in New York. Mr. Weston was president of Byron Weston Company in Dalton from 1898 to 1920. He died Sept. 24, 1920.
The Weston home, a substantial residence at East Housatonic Street and Appleton Avenue, was razed a few years after Mr. Weston's death and several houses have been built on the tract since.
Mrs. Weston was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward S. Brewer of Longmeadow. She married Mr. Weston June 14, 1893. Upon leaving Pittsfield, Mrs. Weston made her home summers at Hyannisport and spent the winters in New York.
The survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Donald R. (Corrinne) Hyde of Cold Spring-on-Hudson, N.Y. and Miss Sally E. Weston of Hyannisport and New York.
The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 at Grace Episcopal Church in Dalton, Rev. William Crittenden officiating. Burial will be in the Weston plot in Main Street Cemetery, Dalton.
