Joseph was very important to the Denomme name. He was the first in the line to use the current spelling of his name "Denomme" when he purchased land in 1751 and married 9/16/1754 to Marie-Celeste Gilbert-Comtois.To add to his importance, he was the only male of the 4th generation to marry and have children that would carry on the family name. This is the 4th time in 4 generations that carried the name down to one individual. Joseph is the fifth generation.They had 10 children:
