Mary Katherine Meyer Dimmitt, age 90, a long-time resident of Germantown, Kentucky, died at 1:00 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2011, at Quaker Heights Assisted Living, in Waynesville, Ohio, where she had been a resident for the past three years. She was born July 19, 1920, in Kentucky, and moved to Ohio in 1980 to be closer to family. She was a member of Germantown Christian Church and, after her husband's death, she continued to run Dimmitt's place of business near Germantown until moving to Ohio.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Charles P. Dimmitt, who died in 1969; a daughter, JoAnn Dimmitt Threet, who died in 1980; a son, Kenneth Dale Dimmitt, who died in 1987; her parents, William and Mary Meyer; three brothers, George Meyer, Johnnie Meyer and Charles Meyer; and a sister, Dorothy Mitchell.
