Wife of E Kennedy
Catherine Kennedy Chilton Times August 1, 1903

Died – At her home in Chilton town, on Thursday, July 30, Catherine, wife of Edward Kennedy, aged 51 years, 8 months, 18 days. Catherine Mulcahy was born in the county Limerick, Ireland, November 12, 1851. She came to America with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Mulcahy, who located in Milwaukee County, when she was six months old. In 1855 she came to Calumet County with her parents, locating in the town of Rantoul. On July 30, 1878, she was married to Edward Kennedy, of Chilton town. From this union four sons and one daughter were born.
For one year past, Mrs. Kennedy had been an invalid, and, although the best medical aid was secured, nothing could be done to alleviate her suffering. Some few weeks ago she was taken to Green Bay for treatment, but returned none the better for the trip. During her long illness she bore her sufferings with true Christian fortitude, and was never known to utter a murmur of complaint. She was an ideal mother and lived her life for her husband and children. She was a Christian in the true sense of the word, and was active in the work of advancing St. Augustine's church, of which she was a member from early childhood. Her kindly disposition and hospitality will be remembered by those who were acquainted with her. A heartbroken husband, four sons, one daughter and three sisters survive her.
