Mrs. William C. Ditton passed away at her home in San Mateo, Calif., June 21, 1921, at 1:30 p. m. Mrs. Ditton was born at Shadeland farm on the Wea plains. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hawkins. She resided here until 1881, when she moved with her parents to Benton county, being located near Earl Park, where she resided until her marriage to William C. Ditton in 1887, after which she resided in Chicago where Mr. Ditton was engaged in business. They later returned to Earl Park, where they resided until they moved to Californian in 1919. There they erected a beautiful new home in the surban city of San Mateo, near San Francisco, where she lived at the time of her demise.
She leaves beside her husband, William C Ditton, two sons, James H. Ditton, of San Mateo, and J. Sumner Ditton, who resided with his parents; also three sisters, Mrs. George H. Hart, Mrs. John L. Bond and Mrs. Charles W. Jewell, all of Earl Park, to mourn her loss.
The remains will arrive in Lafayette Saturday afternoon, after which short funeral services will be held at Springvale cemetery at 2:30 o'clock, where intermenr will be made in the family burial lot.
