Mrs. Arminda Cook, wife of Gilbert Cook, passed away at her home in Hustontown on Tuesday, February 28, 1939. Mrs. Cook had been ill a short time.

She was born in Taylor township on February 15, 1869 and was the daughter of Richard Madden and Nancy (Miller) Madden, both deceased. At the time of death she was aged 60 years, 13 days.

She was united in marriage to Gilbert J. Cook on May 17, 1902 at Huntingdon.

Mrs. Cook was a devout member of the Mount Tabor United Brethren church. She was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed in the home as well as in the community.

Surviving to mourn her passing are her husband and the following children: Mrs. William (Marie) Ulsh, of near Hustontown, Merrill Cook of near Hustontown, Mrs. Harper (Lavilla) Black, of Cooks Station, Oran, Evelyn Lauretta, Dorothea and Gale at home. Three children are deceased.

These sisters and brother, also survive: Mrs. Porter Wible, of Maddensville, Aquilla Loner and Orleana Wilson of Altoona, and Loraine Madden, of Hustontown.

Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon, March 3, at 2 o'clock at the Center Methodist Episcopal church. The Rev. Nelson Frank officiated and interment was made in the adjoining cemetery. House's funeral service.
