Jesse "Bunche" Patterson, 79, a lifelong resident of Prichard, AL; passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2011.
He was a member of Samuel Chapel A. M. E. Church.
A retired Long Shoreman for 45 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Patterson; son, Jesse Brooks; daughter-in-law, Brenda Brooks; grandson, Jesse, III.
He leaves to cherish his legacy, four children, Jennetter, Jessica, Jonathan, and Jasmine Brooks. Three great-grandchildren, Jarvis, Jordan, and Kamryn Brooks; one sister, Minister Carolyn (Charles) Collins; three brothers, Nelson (Thelma) Patterson, Grand Prairie, TX; Ronnie (Ann) Patterson, Buffalo NY; and Alonzo Patterson; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many devoted friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2011, at Samuel Chapel A. M. E. Church 717 West Prichard Ave. Prichard, AL;
from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. celebration of life.
