DUNKIRK--Albin Louis "Louie" Branscum, Sr., 61, of Dunkirk, IN, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 suddenly at his residence.
Louie was born in Muncie, IN, on December 9, 1949, a son of the late Mollie Lorene (Stoner) and Kyle Branscum.
He was employed as a mechanic at Indiana Glass Co., Dunkirk, until having to go on disability.
Louie was a member of Albany Anthony Lodge F.& A.M., Dunkirk Moose Lodge #1352, Dunkirk Elks Lodge #1776, and Dunkirk Sons of the American Legion Post 227.
Louie was known to be a friend of everyone and helper of all he loved to joke around and liven up all get-togethers. He was very proud of being a 1969 graduate of Muncie Central High School.
Louie is survived by a son; a daughter; three grandchildren; and two brothers.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence "Heavy" Branscum.
Friends are invited to call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2011 at MJS Mortuaries Dunkirk Chapel. There will be a Masonic service Friday at 7 p.m., performed by Anthony Lodge 171. Funeral services will be at MJS Mortuaries-Dunkirk Chapel, Dunkirk, IN, at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011 with Pastor Bobby Thomas officiating. Graveside services will follow in Union Cemetery, Eaton, IN.
Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries Dunkirk Chapel.
