Mrs. Sarah Johnson Passes at Hospital; Pierson Burial Set

Mrs. Sarah Jane Johnson, 9788 S. Nimitz Ct., died in a local hospital yesterday after a brief illness.

She was a native of Bostwick, Ga., and had lived in Jacksonville many years. Mrs. Johnson was a member of Main Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Detective Sgt. O.A. Johnson of the Jacksonville police department and Gus E. Johnson; two daughters, Mrs. Ida Jackson of Jacksonville and Mrs. Dorothy Holder of Las Vegas, Nev.; four sisters, Mrs. Mamie Legg, Mrs. Addie Parrott and Mrs. Annie Barnhard all of Pierson, and Mrs. Bessie Lynch of Jacksonville; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at Main Street Baptist Church at 2 p.m. toay with the Rev. J.R. White, pastor, and the Rev. A.W. Mathis, pastor of Franklin Street Baptist Church, officiating.

Following services the body will be taken to Pierson for burial in the family plot at 5:45 p.m. Giddens Funeral Home in charge.
