She was employed at Moen Inc. for several years and then from 1966-1983 at Bendix Corporation, from where she retired. Josephine was a member of The Elyria Moose Lodge and Golden Moose and was especially proud of attaining the position of Senior Regent and Senior Grad of Elyria Moose Chapter # 907. She was also a member of Elyria Eagles, Elyria United Polish Club and Grafton VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by her son, Darryl L. (Jan) Aspey of Charlotte, North Carolina; and grandchildren, Bryan (Amy), Kristen and Lauren Aspey. Miss Daisy is also survived by her caregiver and companion of 16 years, Milton Bearer; sister, Perney E. Tompkins of Elyria; brothers, Walter W. and Clair L. Brink; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Skaggs in 1993; parents, Walter A. and Alice Mae Brink; brother, Robert Brink; and sisters, Martha and Bertha Brink.
Friends will be received Tuesday, November 15, 2011, from 3 until 7 P.M., at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A service will be Wednesday November 16, 2011, 11 A.M., in the funeral home, with Reverend Charles Keesee, Pastor of Midway Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery.
